Thomas Digital space-time ushered in a major technological breakthrough, interoperability upgrades to be compatible with more ecosystems

With the advent of 5G and WEB 3.0 era, new technologies such as blockchain and AI are gradually being applied, and blockchain is also considered to open the door to the future Internet. However, at the same time, problems are becoming increasingly prominent in the process of development, for example, at present, the public chains are isolated from each other, forming data silos, which seriously affects the future development of blockchain. All along, we regard the coordination of scalability, decentralization and security as an impossible triangle, and it becomes imperative to break through this impossible triangle and solve problems such as data island.

Since 2021, more and more projects have begun to explore cross-chain technology and layer2. In February 2021, Thomas labs reached cooperation with Protocol Labs and Leibniz Supercomputing Center on the development of Thomas Digital space-time public chain technology. After nearly 3 months of research, Thomas labs revealed on May 25 that Thomas Digital space-time will usher in a major technological breakthrough, break the impossible triangle, launch a new interoperability system(2.0), and be compatible with more ecosystems.

Thomas uses cross-chain technology to improve the high scalability of the blockchain, carry higher traffic user and application requirements, and realize inter-chain interoperability and network interconnection.

We allow blockchain running different protocols to communicate and interact with each other as long as they use the same framework, such as Cosmos's Cosmos SDK or Polkadot's Substrate. Developers can build their own protocols more flexibly and ensure that the same encryption primitives are used, allowing each chain to parse the other chain and achieving cross-validate transactions.

The encryption economics of cross-chain networks also needs further research. Cross-chain transactions are the weakness, not the advantage, of multi-chain networks. Cross-chain transactions bring delays and also lead to the lack of atomicity and composability. The chains that need to interact will eventually migrate to the same blockchain, which will reduce cross-chain overhead, reduce the demand for cross-chain transactions, and thus reduce the demand for native tokens.

Cross-chain networks can benefit from network effects-the more interconnected chains in the network, the greater the value of the network and the more attractive it is to potential new participants in the network. Ideally, we would like to see this value gradually captured in native tokens to further promote the growth of the network.

Thomas with a layered architecture is a multi-chain network. At the bottom level, Thomas uses the Cell model and the underlying virtual machine to support true customization and user-created encryption primitives to support interoperability between heterogeneous blockchains.

After the upgrade, Thomas Digital space-time will be able to achieve interoperability between public chains, and through modular plug-in form to be compatible with more ecology, including Defi, NFT, etc., to truly realize the interconnection of everything and chain-chain interoperability, thus laying a good foundation for the later access of ecological applications.
